Your rights as a Data Subject

What information do we collect?
Information is only collected when you contact us to place an order or request a quote or further information regarding our products, services or events. It will include some related personal details including your name, postal address, email address, and telephone number. This enables us to respond quickly to your enquiries/order, as well as helping us to develop and improve our site and systems in order to provide a better service.
For account customers we may collect additional personal information such as payment details, date of birth and proof of identity that may include driving licence, utility bill or passport.
For non-account customers we will collect personal data such as name, address, email and phone number when you place an order, use our website, take advantage of a promotion or enter a competition.
How we use your information
In order for us to provide you with a service we need to collect personal data for purchasing purposes and correspondence. In any event we are committed to ensuring that the information we collect and use is appropriate, for its purpose, serves a legitimate interest and does not constitute an invasion of your privacy.
For account customers, ALC will collect and use your personal information for credit checks with other suppliers as detailed by you in your Account Application Form. We shall also use your information for correspondence and for any account or product related queries, requests or changes
For non-account customers your personal information will be used to process your orders and enquiries.
We will, on occasion, contact you by email with information regarding our products and services that we believe to be of a legitimate interest to you. How we use your personal data
ALC will collect, store and use the information you provide in a manner compatible with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will endeavour to keep your information accurate and up-to-date and not keep it for longer than required. It is necessary for SPR to retain information in accordance to the law, such as information needed for income tax and audit purposes. How long certain kinds of personal information should be kept may also be governed by specific business-sector requirements and agreed practices. Personal data may be held in addition to these periods depending on individual business needs.
Certain information about the user, such as IP addresses, navigation through site, software used, time spent and other similar information, may be stored on our servers in small data pieces known as “cookies,” which may also be written to a User’s computer system. These cookies will not specifically identify the User. The information will be used internally only for web site traffic analysis. If the User specifically provides unique identifying information, such as name, address and other information on forms stored on this site, such information will only be used for statistical purposes and will not be published for general access. However, we assume no responsibility for the security of this information. In addition, we also record your IP address, which is the Internet address of your computer, and information such as your browser type and operating system. This information helps us learn about the geographical distribution of our website visitors and the technology they use to access our site. This information is never connected with the personal information you supply to us if you register on our website
Will ALC share your data?
ALC will never pass your personal information on to third parties for marketing purposes. Payment information for purchases through our website are processed by secure, encrypted payment providers, WorldPay. We do not have access to the personal payment information for orders placed on our website. Personal information such as name, address, email and phone number will be shared with our Authorised Distributors (courier/haulier) when applicable in order for you to receive your goods. They will hold your information securely and not contact you directly for marketing purposes.
Securing your personal data
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data on our systems from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We do not share the information we collect with any other organisations, apart from our Authorised Distributors. We will endeavour to take all reasonable care, in so far as it is possible to do so, to keep all your details secure, but, in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when enquiring.
