Some like to change their look for the new year; others completely transform their homes. This historic house-hall underwent an incredible restoration, moving from a flat, impermeable orange finish to an authentic, breathable exterior.
The project was masterfully executed by East Anglian specialists, Rickards Period Plastering. To complement the newly exposed timber frame, they utilised our FibreChalk wet ready-mix system. Because FibreChalk is reinforced with fibres, it provides the exceptional flexibility and tensile strength required to handle the natural movement of traditional timber-framed properties.
The team applied a highly breathable pargetted lime render, completing the panels with a detailed, combed texture. The result is a stunning, weather-resistant finish that protects the structural integrity of the building whilst beautifully restoring its vernacular charm.
